I began showing Golden Retrievers in April
of 2004. It was there in the show ring that
I discovered Samoyeds. I was drawn to their
beauty and grace as they glided around the
ring effortlessly, smiling as if they were
having more fun than they thought possible
and knew something we didn't. After doing
my research and learning what I could, I
purchased my first Samoyed in August of
2004 from Sharon Wazney (Bluestorm
Samoyeds) in Alberta, Canada. As she grew
into the champion she has become, Am./Can./UKC/Multi BIS Intl. Ch.
Bluestorm A Wink and a Smile RN, HIC, my love and appreciation for
this breed has also grown. Sophie has been an incredible addition to my
family and is now the foundation for Snowshoe Samoyeds.
It is my goal to learn, understand, and appreciate and further this breed
through research, patience, and using every resource available to me to
insure that I am doing what is best for the future of this already
spectacular breed. I would like to give special thanks to some of the
breeders who have helped me along the way: Sharon Wazney
(Bluestorm), Jan Warner (Echo), Mary Jo Willdigg (T-Snow Star), and
Linda Johnson (Dushanbe).
